Map to 2014 Compliance for Mental / Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Practices
If you don’t know it already, 2014 is a big year for all medical industries, including mental & behavioral health, ABA, OT, PT, and speech therapy! We’ll be offering resources & education throughout on the year on everything that affects you, and here are some highlights to be aware of now:
Although the deadline has been pushed back to 10/1/15, this is still one of the biggest changes the healthcare industry has experienced in decades—it affects all ICD diagnosis codes, which are HIPAA-mandated for all types of billing, including insurance and Medicaid. Even if your practice is entirely self-pay (and you don't provide receipts to your clients to seek reimbursement on their own), you need to formulate an action plan now. Check out our 2014 ICD-10 Overview for details and our ICD-10 Resource Center for additional complimentary tools.
Use the extra year to prepare, not put off!!
