The PIMSY behavioral health EHR team is deeply invested in community involvement and charitable organizations, especially those that are connected to mental health. Everyone in the PIMSY family is in some way involved in giving back, whether it’s something simple like anonymous monthly donations that our team members make to causes close to their hearts – or bigger involvement, like ongoing charitable contributions and support.
This month, we’ll focus on KARE: Kids Advocacy Resource Effort. KARE is a local, western North Carolina non-profit that was founded in 1991 by volunteers. KARE is a nationally accredited Child Advocacy Center (CAC) with the National Children’s Alliance and is a Prevent Child Abuse affiliate.
KARE is unique in that it provides not only advocacy for victims, but also education for at-risk families to help prevent future abuse. Click here for details about their programs.
All of KARE’s services are free, 75-80% of their funding comes from grants, and the rest is sustained by local fund raising. PIMSY is proud to support this amazing organization via the PIMSY Share Program, which provides free EHR software licenses to non-profit organizations in need.
In addition to this ongoing endorsement of their programs, PIMSY CEO Ian MacDonald serves on the KARE Board of Directors, and some of our team recently participated in the KARE Walk / Run fundraiser. We on the PIMSY team are honored to have the opportunity to support this incredible local organization.
