Medicare Incentive Deadline
If you are an EP in the Medicare EHR Incentive programs, 2014 is the last year you can start participation in order to secure incentive payments. EPs who begin participation after 2014 will not be able to earn any of the grant funding! If you are participating for the first time in 2014, you must be on a certified EHR by 7/1/14 in order to report on the 3 month required period by 10/1/14. If not, you will be subject to a payment adjustment starting in 2015. See Meaningful Use 2014: Use It or Lose It for details.
