Mental Health Event: Free Yoga for Veterans

A new FREE yoga class is available in Asheville, NC, specifically for veterans: Monday nights from 7 - 8 pm. The class is gentle but strengthening with a focus on slow, deep breathing. Click here for more information.
“Seeing dramatic changes and the way yoga can help this population is inspiring,” says the class instructor Amy Pool. "I believe healing is always possible, but instead of trying to get back to the person we used to be, we should focus on moving forward to become the best versions of ourselves in this moment. Contrary to what most of us believe, movement does not have to be painful. It can actually help to reduce not only the physical pain, but the mental/emotional suffering that goes along with it. When movement and focused breath are combined the healing potential is increased exponentially."
