EHR and practice management for mental / behavioral health

The Benefits of Using a Clearinghouse + Mental Health EHR

How Can a Clearinghouse + Mental Health EHR Help You?

Often when we speak to businesses considering PIMSY, we’re asked what the benefits are of using a clearinghouse in conjunction with a behavioral health EHR or Practice Management System.  In addition to streamlining the billing process, clearinghouses can save you tons of time spent on submission, research, follow up and much more.

How Does it Work?

Using a clearinghouse allows you send batches of all open invoices and claims with a few button clicks.  These claims are parsed out to the insurance companies by the clearinghouse, payment is collected and the EOB or remittance batch is received into PIMSY.

With a few more button clicks, the remittance is applied to the invoices/claims, along with any necessary notes such as reasons that payment was denied or partially paid.  Your clients’ charts and financial records are updated accordingly, and the information is stored everywhere needed for future needs, such as reporting, tracking, re-billing, etc.

Tasks that once took hours or days can be reduced to minutes. Contact us to see how using PIMSY mental health EMR in conjunction with a clearinghouse can unburden your inbox.

“PIMSY more than pays for itself by streamlining my office, improving efficiency and reducing billing times. I would recommend PIMSY to anyone looking for a good EMR company that will help you implement its program and help you with any questions you have along the way.”
